Students, Just making sure you are aware of this part of the MMS Handbook that went home way back at the beginning of the school year. I am confident your parents have read over it b ut I wanted you to be aware of it as well.
I know you are used to hearing me say "If you are talking at any time during a quiz or a test, it will be interpreted as cheating from my vantage point."
Here's the Matador Honor Code, quoted from the MMS Handbook:
"Honesty, integrety, and a respect for individual achievement are expected at Murchison Middle School. The foundation of the Matador Honor Code is the belief that every student has the right to pursue an education free from dishonesty.
All Murchison students are expected to uphold the standards of academic conduct outlined in the Matador Honor Code and abide by its requirements.
Incidents of academic misconduct will result in an automatic zero for the assignment and may result in other consequences as designated by the Administration."
On a sidenote, Honesty and Integrity are two of the character assets that are included on the list of character assets for NJHS in the spring. (National Junior Honor Society)
The four main categories of NJHS are Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Citizenship. Honesty and Integrity are subtitles in the Leadership section, if I remember correctly.
