- Reasons for the Seasons- students will investigate why Earth has seasons. (See Vocabulary words- word window in classroom)
- Pre-Assessment 8.7A Rotation and Revolution - Earth and Space
- Mt. Nose- A Model of Day and Night.
Homework: Moon Log: Every night shade in the part of the moon that you do not see. Label the phase. Your choices: New moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, third quarter, waning crescent.

- Cornell Notes: The Moon - Earth's Satellite (see example in class today!) Include Figure 6 Pg 648 - Moon Phases.
Homework: Define the following words using your textbook or dictionary. Moon phase, Lunar, New Moon, Gibbous, Crescent, Quarter (First and third), Full Moon, Waxing, Wanning, Solar Eclipse, Lunar Eclipse, Maria.
Accelerated Science (7th period) Students will need to pick up their display boards/science projects and tweak them over the weekend.
The Murchison Science Fair has been moved to Jan. 19th!!!
