All students have been offered extra credit by viewing a online UT lecture for 1 hour and providing a full page of written notes with a parent verification signature stating the student watched the entire lecture. Turn in by this Friday!! The website is www.esi.utexas.edu and you may select any topic!! Library is open every day until 4:00 if you need access to a computer/internet or see me to reserve a computer after school.

• Read Chapter 13 - Clues to Earth's Past

In your spiral notebook complete the following. You will have 2 class periods to complete this assignment. You will have a test on Monday and you may use this for the test  

1. Define the vocabulary words. (see pg. 391 for list of words)
2. Do Cornell Notes in your notebook for Secton 1 -Fossils, Section 2-Relative Age of Rocks, and Section 3 - Absolute Age of Rocks. Be sure to include 3 facts from each of the subheadings of each section (all red and blue subheadings).
3. Include 2 colored illustrations with labels. Please see Figure 5 and Figure 8. Include all of the information.
4. Include the concept map for Fossils. (see pg 391 Visualizing Main Ideas).

Monday/Tuesday "A" Day

• Students will peer edit the Lab called The Contour Model (see notebook pg 17). This lab includes a colored topograpic map of Mt. Capulin. Also the Evaluation Questions should be completed in your notebook.
• Brain Pop: Food Chains and Ecosystems (Watch video and take quiz-email me your results, due today!!)
• Students will use time to organize their spiral notebooks and binders today. See the table of contents. Notebooks and binders will be graded in class next time we meet.
